Thanksgiving

So this year I'm thankful for many things but right now I can name these:
That each Monday ends with a Castle
My great and wonderful kind loving boyfriend, Kevin
That my roommate and I don't try to kill each other or even really get mad at each other
That I have a cute kitten waiting for me in my house
Chocolate
Turkey(only meat I actually really enjoy and I get to eat as much as I want)
Snowless Novembers
Great Parents
A dorky but loving sister and we actually get along(well mostly)
Cake Wrecks(happiness in a simple package)
That's most of them, but I can't remember if that's all.
Oh well...

Interesting times...

So I was just asked by one of my floormates (read office friend for non-college students) if she could steal my roommate, as her's is moving off the floor. Well, no...I don't really want that to happen...then she proceded to explain that the reason why is if she is without a roommate, then it costs extra money. It obviously wouldn't cost me any extra money. Certainly not. Add into that the fact that I go to bed early and so does my current roommate. I just had groomed this roommate into a person I can deal with on a daily basis and now, my friend wants to hedge her bets, but increase my debts. Thanks oh so much.

Finishing the Week in Good Taste

Ah, that is too punny. I just can't help myself. As I sit here watching "The Next Iron Chef," I can't help but interject a little humor into a super long day.
Today, me and 9 others decided which performing artists we are going to bring to our college. It wasn't easy. The process started at 2 and went to 6(both in the afternoon). It was one of those days where I went inside when the sun was shining and didn't emerge until after the sun had set. I hate those days.
So now I unwind with the best of television. It used to be that I would make fun of others for claiming the Food Network as their favorite television station. but now I proudly join their ranks.

Mom's B-day Again

So I realized that it was Mom's Birthday and she deserved more than just a shout-out, so I decided to emulate my wonderful sister and what she did on her live journal for Father's Day.
Mom, because of you:
I know the right way to hold a fork and it only took me 18 years
I know that loving your job is the most important thing in the world, no matter how long it takes for you to find it
I know that vacuuming makes the house smell better
I know that sharing a book with your family is the best feeling in the world and the best way to relax before bed
I know that it's okay to cry, no matter if it's over a death in real life or the death of a dog in a movie

Finally a Friday

So, today's Friday the 13th and the only reason I know that is because it's my mom's birthday. So Happy Birthday Mom! And of course, a lady never reveals the age of another.
I wonder how Friday the 13th became an eerie date? Maybe Google knows? Well, I didn't really find out anything, but Wikipedia lists the months that will have a Friday the 13th through 2029. Little much?
Yesterday was my busy night of T.V. watching, I watched Bones, Grey's, and The Mentalist, so only one show on the Food Network. Gotta love that Alton Brown.

So I miss Kevin. Not that anyone knows who he is...but he's been my boyfriend for about 2 years(come Christmastime). He's currently working in the Cities, while I'm out here still in Undergrad...yay?. I'll be done soon enough and I don't really want to push that either. The thought of next year paralyzes me sometimes. Got to work through now first, though.

That's pretty much all I got today. Tonight I'm going to Dance Ensemble and hopefully, I'll be able to contain my snark...well, it's a thought anyway.

First Post

Ooh, I like this font.
So I was reading my sister and cousin's blogs and decided that some of the thoughts and some of the things that I do are interesting enough to be documented. Okay, so they might only be interesting to me, but isn't that kinda the point of a blog? How do you write kinda but in real English? I don't know, but I've tried many different things and that works.
So topics of interest to me: pretty much everything is fair game, so you'll be the lucky ones and get to experience my random ramblings on a regular basis.
Tonight, I tutored(work) from 7-9. Only 2 kids came in(I'm at least two years older than anyone I tutor, so they are officially children, yay) but it took me a while to figure out their crap. Since of course, they hadn't actually read the material or tried in any way to figure it out ahead of time. Maybe I'm not the best tutor for freshmen. Give me sophomores or upperclass people any day.
Also today, I missed Glee. I believe that Glee is made to make me happy. And it does it so well.
